⛵️Despite having painted this image, the potential for mystery still intrigues me.
Does the woman in silhouette actually know someone on the boat or does she just see it and wave, intrigued by the pending journey?
Was this a trip she has chosen to stay back from and is waving to what could have been, happy with her decision to stay?
Is she waving to a loved one?
Or, despite the title that suggests the beginning of a journey, is the boat actually on its way back and she is standing happily waving a greeting to a returned love?
⛵️However you view this painting, is the right way. That’s one of the things I love so much about art - it is completely subjective. Whether you embrace the mystery or just see a silhouette and a boat, hopefully the colors, the images, the setting, spark something magical for you. Your choice of size: 6x8”, 9x12”***, 12x16” or 18x24” - Each print is shipped directly to you from the print shop.
(***a print size of 9x12 will have a slightly larger white border and will be printed on an 11x14 size paper to make framing in a standard size easier on the customer. Please note, some of the white border will most likely show through once framed with the standard size frame)
Your artwork is packaged in stiff packaging and kept flat to preserve the quality of your print.
